FC21

I really hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We have a house full of toys but the hit here was Guitar Hero. That thing is so much fun! We packed up the play station and took it to my mom's house yesterday. Everyone wanted a chance to play so there was a continual rotation of guitars the entire day. I loved that it all kept us together. Instead of the the kids all going off and doing there own thing we were all in the same vicinity the whole day. It was great!

On to the challenge. This weeks challenge it brought to us by Daniela. She challenged us to embellish a jar or container for a last minute gift. I made a quick and easy tin filled with candy for my daughter. The supplies used are by Pink Paislee. It's the Tinsel Town collection and I cannot wait to scrap this years photos with it. It's perfect! My daughter was wearing pink jammies so this paper will go wonderfully. The challenge thread is here. I so hope you'll play along!

I'll be back to scrapping as soon as I get this house cleaned up and the kids rooms organized!

family traditions

I am on a roll! First I was able to do a challenge card for Embellish-Online and now I was able to participate in the Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast. So fun. The Featured Stamper is Cards By America and her splitcoast gallery is here. The card I chose to case is this one.

I broke out the Pink Paislee Tinsle Town which I loved but love it even more after using it on a few projects. I am loving hte pink and silver combo. I haven't cut into the green yet...I will, I'm saving it for some of this years Christmas photos.

a challenge card!

I was finally able to participate in one of our DT challenges over at Embellish-Online. If you would like to play along we would love to have you! The challenge thread is here. It's a fun challenge using something clear...vellum, acetate. Stuff like that. I really had fun with this one. I also broke out a few of the Copics I have collected and gave it the old college try. I've only played around thus far, so I'm happy with my first real attempt at coloring with them! Go here to see my full card if you are so inclined.

How are you doing with you Christmas cards? I finally got mine done. I just need to write in them, address the envelope and get my pictures printed. I've got a few more things to make and then I will be done with my gift making too. I'll share my Christmas card next Friday. It's my turn to host a challenge and I made the card for the challenge so I'll have to wait to post it!

I'll check in soon.

teacher gifts

I finally got had some ideas and time to get some teacher gifts done! I got the idea for the birthday calendar from a thread over at Splitcoast. I will update this with her name as soon as I find it!

I made 3 of these sets with different papers. They were really quick and easy and I had so much fun making them. I'm going to scale it down and give the candy box and ornament to the secretaries and the candy box to all the specials teachers. I think I'll make a whole set for one of the ladies I work with and I'm doing and ornament and candy box for the kids as well. There is a slight possibility I'll get them done today! That really would be such a relief.

I'm doing my daughters set with the pink papers from the Tinsel Town collection from Pink Paislee I'm really excited about that one so I'll post it when I get it done. I won't bore you with the rest of the sets though since they are all the same! That will probably be all I make for gifts this year, so I'll share my Christmas card (as soon as I get it done) LOL and then I'll be back at my scrapbooking.

yes!

I love this Snowy Jo collection from Imaginesce
it's just so cute! These are the only photos I had of J from this year. I'm pretty sure this is the year my camera was broken so I was using my little point and shoot and didn't take very many pictures. The ones I got I love though so it's all good!

I'm working on Christmas gifts this weekend. I haven't had a chance to do anything lately and I got the house clean so this weekend is dedicated to crafting. I'll be back on Monday to start showing what I've been up to.

Hope the weekend is a great one!

grin.

Hey there! I have another 2005 Christmas layout to share. I'm done with that year, got 1 page done of 2006 and am really excited to start on the snow pictures from a couple years ago when we had a major blizzard. I think my Snowy Jo papers from Imaginesce are going to be perfect! And it will be fun to scrap those pictures as it is a far cry from our winter thus far this year. We got a dusting of snow last night but that's it. It's kind of a bummer. The only thing I don't miss is shoveling the snow!

I've got the kids ready to go outside and snap a Christmas photo. We need to get out there before it melts. LOL

Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one!

fa la la....

I am totally in the Christmas mood after completing 4 pages of Christmas photos from 2005! I'm almost caught up! LOL I am also totally in love with the Making Memories Christmas line Fa La La. I especially love the polka dots!

I have been limiting my supplies when scrapping lately and I find that I get so much more done that way. I just grab all the things that coordinate with the paper I'm using and go to town. With the exception of some random ribbon I pulled out I have not gone into my stash when creating! It totally frees my mid to work on the task at hand and I'm slowly using up some of my product that has been sitting around.

I guess that's it for today. I'm moving on to Christmas of 2006 and sone winter/snow pictures that I can't wait to use my Imaginisce Snowy Jo paper on. You can pick it up at Embellish-Online and if you like a deal the 20% off code is glitter. Let Barb know I sent you!

Have a super Monday!

Oct. 31

I'm chugging away at getting caught up with some of my holiday pictures. These are last years Halloween pictures and I have the stuff to do this years ready to go.

This weekend I'm going to Archiver's for another crop and I plan on trying to get caught up on some Christmas pictures. I find those the hardest to scrap. Maybe because there are so many of them! I have been tripping the selection down to just the pictures that I love and that has helped me a lot.

On to this layout! I used the Making Memories Spellbound Halloween kit for this page. It's so cute and it's on sale. It has everything you need to create cute Halloween pages.

two more girly pages...

Have I mentiond how much I love this sweet, sweet line from Imaginesce? I know I have but I have to say it again! LOL These 2 layouts both feature the Fairest of Them All line from Imaginesce. I made them for the November DT galley for Embellish-Online. You seriously have to go check out the gallery! Amazing projects with this line I tell ya.
On another note I just picked up the new Pink Paislee stuff Sweet Cakes and Tinsel Town. Love, Love, their papers. Check them out if you haven't already done so!

play time

This is just one of the pages I created with the Fairest of Them All Collection from Imaginesce. (You can find the whole collection at Embellish It Scrapbooking.) I know I've said it before but this line is just so sweet and perfect for little girl pictures. This is a photo I've been wanting to scrap for some time. Playing with a dolly was short lived for J. She liked them for a little bit but I'm pretty sure I liked them more than she did! Since this photo we've passed on almost all of the dolls to her cousin. She's moved on to big girls thing like the Littlest Pet Shop, which is equally as cute. I've yet to get a photo of her playing with them though...I'll have to put that on the to do list.

On another note, I've already purchased some Christmas presents for the kids and while we were out shopping today J saw one of the things I have already gotten her and loved it! So I'm good there! Anyway, I hope you have a great day.

a simple Christmas card

This card is a very simple card that was so easy to put together using mostly new SU! supplies. Although I love Mr. Twigster I also love this little tree that came with him so I thought I'd make that the focal point. The brown panel with the DSP was actually going to be a gift card holder. I made this for a swap and decided I should make a card instead so I cut it up and adheared it to a card base.

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing for cards this year. I think I want to duplicate the one you buy in the stores...you know the 4x8 cards with a greeting and a photo together. I hope to have a sample in the next week. I really want to get them done early so I can work on my calendars. I usually make 10 calendars for people in the family. I'm so excited to see Basic Grey has a calendar kit. I usually start from scratch and make the calendar. This kit however is amazing and I don't think I could do it myself for less. Embellish-It scrapbooking will have them in stock soon and I'll update with a link when I have one.

I have so many projects that I want to do and can't find the time! I spent a week following the Ali Edwards blog and taking pictures for my Week in the life album. I have all the pictures printed and an album ready and still haven't sat down to complete it. Now she has another great idea on her blog today and I want to do that one too! What kinds of projects do you you all want to complete these days?

more Halloween....

My last Halloween page of 2006! Now I can move on to last year maybe before or right after this years Halloween. I am just loving all the collection and kits you can buy now. I made 3 pages with the Imaginesce Hallowhimsy line. All of the coordinating embellishments make it so easy to put a set of pages together. I picked up the Making Memories Halloween kit today and I think I'll do last years photos with it. Bonus that it was on sale! Not sure what I'm going to use for this years photos, I saw some fun Bo Bunny and Little Yellow Bicycle. I could also use the Vintage Moon line from Pink Paislee. I'll have to see what goes with the costumes. Jordan still hasn't decided what she's going to be!

I just checked and it looks like most of the Halloween goodies at Embellish-It scrapbooking are on sale so if you haven't picked some up check it out!

I got almost 4 pages done last night at Archiver's using the new Imaginesce Fairest of Them All. Such sweet paper. I think my favorite is the little birdie from the chipboard set. So cute. I'll be posting those soon. I also finally took photos of 2 Christmas cards I've made so far. I'll pop those in here too.

I forgot...

To mention that Embellish-Online currently has all the new Basic Grey yumminess in the store as well. Paper, buttons (I absolutely love the Basic Grey buttons), brads, glazed brads. I think Urban Prairie and Offbeat are my 2 favorites for sure. Such fun colors and cool designs!

halloween

I'm finally getting my Halloween pictures from 2 years ago scrapped. Just trying to catch up on the older stuff cause I want to start scrappin the new stuff!! LOL This was one for the Embellish-Online Oct. Gallery. Fun Hallowhimsy collection from Imaginesce. Love that stuff! If you haven't checked out the new stuff lately you should! A very nice Winter/Christmas line called Snowy Jo isn't that the cutest name?? :> and the super cute Fairest of Them All for all the girly in your life! Use the code glitter for 20% off your order.

I hope to break out the Fairest of them all this week some time. I have been so busy with kid stuff that I haven't scrapped in weeks! I'm slowly getting my groove back. Guess I needed a break!

I am working on one more Halloween page that I hopeto have to show you tomorrow!

Oct. gallery

Pumpkin Witch was the name of this costume and it was so cute! I shot this picture at work a couple of years ago. We had the idea to set up a fall themed studio setting and shoot kids in their Halloween costumes. It was a real hit! I think this year we are going to do a holiday/christmas scene for those that need a quick family photo taken.

This layout is for the Oct. DT gallery at EIS. It is full of scary Halloween cards/layouts. Please stop by and take a look! all of my projects feature the fun Hallowhimsy collection by Imaginesce. If you don't have it yet run and get it. It is so fun to play with. I also love all of the coordinating embellishments that go along with the collection. While you're there take a look at the Faiest of Them All collection too, it is so cute! I haven't had a chance to play with as I just picked it a couple of days ago but I can't wait!

Gotta run, I've got pick J up[ from a sleep over and get to a photo shoot. After that we are heading to grandmas to make Halloween cookies and haunted houses!

Have a super day.

ps....I promise you will be seeing more of me. I had a super busy couple of weeks, but I think I back on track. I've got a couple of holiday cards to show you just as soon as I get one back (forgot to photograph it before I sent in in) and finish the other one.

another challenge!

Time for another EIS Friday challenge. This week the challenge is mine. It's a sketch challenge with a Fall theme. Come play along! If you do create a layout with my sketch make sure to upload it into the EIS gallery and comment in this thread. I'll pick a random winner to receive some goodies. Upload it by next Friday the 10th.
Vintag
This layout uses the very fun Vintage Moon collection by Pink Paislee (again) I love this line! I'm almost out and I usually never have a desire to use the same products again but I think I have to have more!

snowing leaves

I'm back! I really did not realize it had been so long since I posted! I started a major painting job in the house which has taken up all my spaer time this past couple of weeks. I'm not done yet but I'm close and even though it had been the biggest pain I know I'll be really happy with it once I'm finished. Plus we're getting new furniture as well. So the entire living room is getting a makeover.

I made this layout for this Friday's challenge at EIS. Make it Edgy from the super talented DT member Ching. I would love for you to play along. Here is the thread with all the details. Upload your creation to the Embellish-online gallery and link back here so I know who you are.

I used the Vintage Moon Collection from Pink Paislee for this layout. The owl is actually cut from one of the pieces of paper. Barb has the Vintage Moon collection in stock in the EIS store. This is one of my favorite fall paper lines I have ever used. I have gotten so many of my fall/pumpkin patch photos scrapped because of this paper. I was worried that all the layouts from the different years were going to look the same since I was using the same collection but I have to tell you they are all different! I'm so happy with the way they all came out.

If you want to pick some up head on over to the store and use the code GLITTER at checkout for 20% off your entire order.

september dt gallery at EIS

Head on over to Embellish It Scrapbooking to check out what the girls did with this months theme Fall and Fellas. There are tons of ideas for all the men in you life as well as some fun fall themed projects.

This layout uses the new Pink Paislee Vintage Moon. If you haven't had a chance to check out the products from them run and do it! I have totally fallen in love with Pink Paislee. I've paired up the very fun Vintage Moon with some felt AC Thickers and flowers and added some buttons. The number line up at the top is the coordinating stamp set to the Vintage Moon collection. Love it too! The owl is a TopSider in the same collection.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

lego mania

Finally I've had a chance to sit down and upload some of the layouts I've completed lately. This is a fun sketch from the Sketch This blog. She has some really great sketches! I've used mostly American Crafts stuff on this layout. I picked up some of the new travel line at Archivers and it was perfect for this picture of my lego man! He seriously has thousands of Lego's. Thankfully he keeps them pretty much picked up so I don't have to step on them all day.
That's pretty much it for today...I'll check in in a day or two with another layout.

is there anything better than....

A leaf pile??? I don't think so! These photos are from last years leaf raking adventures. Does anyone else like to rake leaves just so your kids can play in them...and be honest it's really all for the photo op isn't it?? Last years photos are the best yet. They were having so much fun. I've had a great time this summer but I love Fall. The crisp air and beautiful colors really appeal to me. As did this yummy American Crafts paper!

I've been on an AC kick lately. Archivers had a special where if you spent $50 you got a free pack of paper. It's gorgeous paper, so I had to try and get some. I picked up some of their textured cardstock which I am so glad I did because the other cardstock I have doesn't quite match the AC paper. The letters are AC thickers...I know I need to step away from the thickers but I love them! I'm also on a distressing kick. It seems I distress everything these day. I even try not to and the next thing I know I've picked up the paper and distressed it and I didn't even realize I was doing it. Have a great night!

you

This was one of the make and takes at convention last week. I added the journaling bloc, the jumbo eyelet and ribbon, and the strips of paper at the bottom. It was too cute not to use right away. It uses the new Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze along with Rose Red and More Mustard. It also uses the new butterfly set from SU! which I am in love with. I was so happy when I opened my convention bag and saw the wonderful sets that the gave us. I will get a lot of use out of that butterfly set, I've been looking for a good one to cut out and use on pages.

I guess that' it today... I must find something for these kids to do today!

FC2

It's time for another Friday challenge at EIS. This week it's all about paper piecing. Come on over and check it out. The thread is here.

This is my card for the challenge using the cute stuff from the Imaginisce Baby Powder line. That giraffe couldn't be any cuter!

My cousin's wife is having a baby and this is the card I made for her. Wait till you see the rest of the gift. I made one of my totes to put some diapers and other baby goods in, and I still have some note cards to make. Once I have it all together I show you the whole gift. I hope it comes out as cute as it is in my mind.

have a great day!

Vail, Co

I am so in love with the new SU! In Colors!!! I never thought I would like Kiwi Kiss, but I do I want to use it on everything. I was able to pick up this 3rd level hostess kit and I just love the paper in it. It's almost gone though and I want more!!LOL The rub on and blue flower button are also SU! The journaling is done with one of the newer Basic Grey journaling stamps, Journal Blocks and the flowers are felt flowers from both American Crafts and SU! I love felt flowers and pretty much use them on everything I can. I was so excited to see that there are new colors of the SU! Flower Fusion. Those will be on my first order for sure.

My daughter isn't feeling well today so we've had a lot of down time and I've actually gotten some new things done. I'll be back tomorrow with my card for the Friday DT challenge over at EIS. Make sure to stop by!
