There She Goes - Dollar Find Friday

Hi there! Today it's my turn to host Dollar Find Friday for the TSG blog. I have
for you a planner from the infamous Target dollar spot! I ripped off the original
cover and replaced it with something much, much better. I used the oh so lovely
American Crafts Letterbox collection and paired it with the amazingly adorable
birdie from TSG's Birdie Wishes. (Can you tell I've been helping my children with their
"juicy" words?:>) Check out the TSG blog for more details on this weeks project.

2010 planner

One last tidbit before I go....I will probably not be posting regularly on the ol blog this month. I work retail and December is a busy month for me as it is for everyone! But I'm usually too exhausted to do much of anything crafty. However, I do have some gift items, my Christmas card and calendars to still complete (wish me luck!) so I will have that to show as well as my DT commitments. So I won't be gone, gone I just won't be here a lot.

Thanks for visiting me and I so enjoy all of your sweet, sweet comments! Happy Holidays.

purses

This is what I've been working on that has kept me away from my scrapping! I made these cute purses for my Daisey troop. We used them to put all the end of year badges and pens in and we awarded them to the girls last night at our year end BBQ. I made 28 of these babies!

We had the party at one of the girls houses up on the mountain near our house. It was gorgeous! The house was amazing and the property was beautiful. A perfect place to throw a party for 70+! The owner took us on a property hike and the girls found all kinds of bones and skulls of animals. There are lots of deer and mountain lions in the area. Heck there are mountain lions and deer in our area! It was a great time and the weather held up for us mostly. We had a little rain and we needed our jackets but it was a fun night.

FC21

I really hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We have a house full of toys but the hit here was Guitar Hero. That thing is so much fun! We packed up the play station and took it to my mom's house yesterday. Everyone wanted a chance to play so there was a continual rotation of guitars the entire day. I loved that it all kept us together. Instead of the the kids all going off and doing there own thing we were all in the same vicinity the whole day. It was great!

On to the challenge. This weeks challenge it brought to us by Daniela. She challenged us to embellish a jar or container for a last minute gift. I made a quick and easy tin filled with candy for my daughter. The supplies used are by Pink Paislee. It's the Tinsel Town collection and I cannot wait to scrap this years photos with it. It's perfect! My daughter was wearing pink jammies so this paper will go wonderfully. The challenge thread is here. I so hope you'll play along!

I'll be back to scrapping as soon as I get this house cleaned up and the kids rooms organized!

challenge

This is just one of the many projects I created out of one sheet of pattern paper. Michelle challenged us to use an entire sheet on as many projects as you could. I had to have at least 2 cards and at least 2 non-cards. Instead of stamps I used the maya road sheer blossoms and chipboard flowers along with some american crafts felt flowers. Fun! If you want to see the rest of my projects go here. And if you want to play along there is still time! Check out Michelle's forum for all the details.

for Jordan's room

It's almost 5 so I'll be drawing a couple of names for my sweet prima giveaway. thanks for all the sweet comments and I feel your pain on so many of your must haves...but never use!! LOL I definitely have a laundry list...twinkling h2o's, pearl-ex, paper crimperand i keep buying those giant pads of paper and use like 2 sheets out of the 300 that you get.

Anyhow this little beauty is a bare elements chipboard canvas. I "had" to have it the other day and I'm so proud that I have used it and it has not even been a week! I used SU's new paper Berry bliss, some prima flowers, making memories glitter brads, american craft ribbon, pretties beads and hat pin and a couple of my new Hero arts Valentine set embossed with some hologram highlights. The o is crooked on purpose. When I was putting everything together Jordan came over to see what I was doing and told me to put it that way. She said she liked it because the o looked like it was dancing! She is too cute and of course I had to oblige!

I'll be back in a few with those names!

make it a great day! (even if it is almost over!!)

Vday projects

This little gift set was so fun to make! Don't really think I can give it away though....

I used a little candy tin and one of last years love notes (I think that what they were called) to make this darling gift set. I was all set to fill the tin up with those yummy Cherry Cordial Hershey Kisses but they don't fit. I guess I'll have to eat them all up and fill it with something else. I've seen on so many blogs the inspiration stations everyone is setting up. I did a mini one with a few of the valentine ish items that I wanted to start using. I have to say it is the best idea! I was able to pick and choose from all of the embellishments to find just the right things to go on these projects. I used some buttons, prima sprites with a glitter brad center, maya road ribbon, su ribbon, and a Making Memories brad. This was too fun to make...I'm off to start the Valentines for the kiddos to hand out at school.

make it a great day!

Favorite Christmas Moments

I finally got a project done for the Embellish It design team.
I used the Basic Grey Quarter Pint chipboard
album to document all of our favorite things from this Christmas. I was trying to use up some of my holiday paper and this Basic Grey Blitzen collection came in handy. Check the Embellish It design team gallery on the 5th to see the rest of my album.

Finally something for moi...

I have been hard at work making things for just about everyone I know and have not amde anything for myself in ages! I know, I know it's the season for others but I think I've paid my dues LOL. SO I made my self one of the Target $ spot planners I picked up. I have been hoarding this one piece of Chatterbox paper for ages and decided it had to go on this project. I just love it! The beautiful flower and chocolate brad are both availabe at EO. The flower is by Imaginesce and it's so pretty!
Letter stickers are American Crafts, ribbon and jumbo brads SU!
Hope today is a great one!

I was placing my order for the new SU! preview sets today and came acrosd the directions to make these cute ornaments. SO easy! I used a 3.5x3.5in square, cut a hole in the middle, placed another 3.5x3.5 in piece behind it with dimensionals and embellished the middle. The rectangle were punched out with the Marvy recantangle scallop punches found and Embellish-Online and use the Basic Grey Santa Baby clear stamp set. I cannot believe how easy these stamps are to stamp with! I am totally not a clear stamp user but these could grow on me. The stamps are also available at EO.

After seeing what Cambria did with some DVD tins I had to try it! This tin is not actually a DVD tin. It's an acordian book tin from Bare Elements found at Embellish-Online here. I just cut up the acordian paper added a monogram and an SU! scalloped circle and made a little stack of note paper. This is a gift for one of my daughters pre-school teachers. I'm going to give it to her early so she can use it for lists and receipts and stuff befoe Christmas! The planner is from the Target dollar spot! I tore off the ugly plastic cover and made one of my own. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies~SU! Dashing dsp, old olive, very vanilla, real red. Seson of Joy stamp set. Wide olive grograin, white taffeta, red grosgrain, tab punch, american crafts velvet letters.

Card Tote~BasicGrey-Romani Paper

I made a card tote last year after convention. I had so many nice comments on it that I decided to make some for my friends! These take some time to put together but the end result is really nice. I did some cutting with the flower bursts, and used the rubicoil to punch the holes in the bottom and sides so I could "sew" it together. I saved all the punched holes and put them inside the clear vinyl tubing for the handles.
