the station

Ok this is the last page from a fun birthday tour at the fire station. I had this one last photo that I wasn't even sure I'd scrapbook and I'm so glad I did! This page came together so nicely. I used the Basic Grey Offbeat Collection (it's on sale too!) and a jillibean soup journaling spot.

That's it for today! I'm off to work.

who's party is it?

These pictures crack me up! This was my nephews 1st birthday and while I *think* my kids gave him a chance to blow out the candles on his own, it sure doesn't look like it! LOL I went pretty simple on this one. SU white cardstock and pattern paper, Making Memories letters (brown), AC thickers (orange), su scallop punch and martha butterfly punch and a Basic Grey button.

hope it's a great Firday!

happy

Who is loving the Cosmo Cricket stuff lately! I know I am. This one uses the Girl Friday collection and I just picked up the Early Bird collection so expect some stuff from it very soon!
These are some before preschool photos from 3 years ago. They were so little and cute! Man do these kids ever grow up fast. I was on a scrappin roll the other day so I have at least 5 more days of new stuff to show ya! I'm always torn to whether I should post it all at once or spread it out. I may change my mind and give you a big chunk of layouts at once...you never know!

fun & sun

Doesn't this look like fun? I totally think so. I played around with a Got Sketch? sketch for this one. Really great sketches on their site if you haven't checked them out go do it! You will be inspired for sure. I was on a scrappin roll yesterday so I have a lot to show you just as soon as I get them photographed. I think I have almost completed the year 2006 as well. Just a few x-mas photos to scrap and it will be in the books! Can't tell you how great that feels. As I was looking at my books contemplating that giant feat I realized that while I have actually scrapped quite a few pages for 2008, 2007 is sorely misrepresented! So I think I'll check out the 2007 photos and see waht I can add. Not sure if I just don't have that many pictures or I'm just not inspired by them. Weird though!

cute

These are some of the first pictures I took when I got my new camera last year. She is such a cutie! I know I'm a little biased but still..... I busted out the SU! supplies for this one. The summer paper from last year. I just love the blue/red combo and it worked so well with my black and white photos. I used my favorite basic grey buttons , several different punches and of course some thickers.

I hope your summer is off to a great start!

sketches

I decided I'd work with some sketches this week. I go back and forth using sketches. Sometimes I can whip up a page from a sketch in no time at all and other times I just can't make them work! This week I decided to use some sketches and do 2 different pages with each one...one of my son and one of my daughter. I used the latest Pencillines sketch for this one. I got 2 pages done in a relatively short amount of time.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

a few layouts

Just a few of the layouts I've finished up recently. I mentioned recently that I was going to start creating layouts in different sizes and incorporate them into my 12x12 books. I have to say that I'm really liking the flexibility this is giving me! These 2 are 8 1/2 x 11 and I love them. I do forget that I have 8x8 page protectors too and I haven't done one that size lately so I'll have to get on that! I was toying with the idea of picking up the 6x12 protectors too. Thought that might be interesting as well.

The top page is one I made at the Archiver's crop the other night. Unfortunately their air conditioning was out and it was like 85 in that place. I had to leave early because it was so hot I couldn't even think! So I only got this layout done and I have 1 more that I need to finish up.

The 2nd layout uses all Stampin' Up! goodies with the exception of the Thickers. I don't even know if I could do a layout without Thickers these days. I'll have to try it out! If you're in the market for Thickers Barb has a huge collection in the Embellish-Online Store. You can use the code GLITTER for 20% off your order.

train

We happened upon this really cool train on our walk one day in Steamboat. I got some fun photos of Jack or Jordan and cousin Addi. Here's one of Jordan. It very well may end up being her 6 year old picture cause I can't find the time to take her out and do a real shoot. Maybe next week will work out. For now this is my current fave photo of her. I was playing around with this one in Photoshop. I am really just learning how to use it so I'm not very good yet. I definitely need some more practice. I'm going scrapping tonight so I'll finally have some new layouts to show!
Have a great weekend!

a card

I've actually made a few cards lately! This is the thanks you for Jordan's birthday. Now I Just need to get her to fill them out! I used my new SU butterfly die and the A Walk In The park DSP. That stuff is so pretty. I am going to get some scrapping in today for sure. We went to Steamboat for a couple of days and I was kicking myself that I didn't bring some stuff with me. It was pretty rainy up there and I had a bunch of supplies alreay paced from an outing hte night before. I don't know why I didn't just chuck it in the car! Oh well, you live and learn right?

I also received my new SU stuff. I got a really cute circle stamp set and the new In Colors. I'm excited to play with them. I also got my new catalog. There are a just few things on my wish list but I have to go through it again and see if there is anything else.

first signs of summer

We got to go swimming on the first day of summer break. It has been the only suitable day for swimming so far this break. I don't mind the rainy/chilly weather, but my kids do....they want to go swimming. So for now, I'll remind them how much fun we had that one day and we'll wait for the weather to shape up!

birthday wishes

This is the birthday card I made for my daughters 6th birthday. She loves butterflies and I had just picked up the Stampin' Up! butterfly die so I thought I would use it! I also used the American Crafts Baby line which is so great to work with! It seriously can be used for anything!

Here is the birthday girl. This was taken at her family birthday party. We had such great weather which was good because our deck is missing right now. James decided to replace it this year. The demolition is done but the construction has not yet started! It's kind hard to have a birthday party when you can't get out the door! We had the party in the garage/backyard/front yard. Lots of basketball and playing in the water table. Very fun afternoon for all! Jordan got her pink scooter from g&g and a new camera from us among many other great gifts from family and friends. It was a happy birthday indeed!

So we have these fun challenges every Friday over at Embellish-Online and I have been so bad about posting them...or doing them for that matter! So I'm going to get better at posting them and maybe that will help me to get better at trying them.

Yes these are more pictures form my daughters birthday shoot from last year. I've got to get onto her shoot for this year but we've had rain and gloom the last couple of days.
