Backyard BBQ Day 2

It's day 2 of our Backyard BBQ Blog Hop. If you are joining me from Kim's Blog then welcome, if not start at the Embellish-Online blog and join in the fun!
Here is the sketch the DT used and we want you to use it too. Create a card or layout using our sketch, upload it here (you'll have to register it so, so easy and of course it's free!) Once you upload, post in this thread with a link to your project for a chance to win an amazing American Crafts prize package!
Here's what I created with Christine's fabulous sketch! Now I want to see what you can do with it! I used the gorgeous American Crafts Backyard collection along with some details and a piece from the super cute Remarks journaling book.

And as added piece of fun in honor of my birthday I want to hear from you! Leave me a comment on this post and tell me what your favorite summertime activity is. On Sunday night I'll pick a random winner to win a $30 gift certificate to the Embellish-Online Store!

I'm the last stop on the hop for today. Tune in tomorrow morning at Cindy's blog for some more backyard fun!

summer science fun

Last week we went to the museum. There was a health exhibit that had some amazing stuff! We actually stayed all day. Can't remember the last time we closed the museum down! There was an experiment center and this at this station we got to look at our cells under a microscope. Too much fun. Even more fun than that were the goggles, gloves and lab coats for everyone. It was a hoot!

Trying to have some scrappy goodness to share very soon. Still having a hard time getting in the craft room.

The other front tooth hasn't come out yet. My poor daughter looks so silly! Any suggestions on getting a pesky front too to come out? It is so ready. It's in there crooked and it's so, so loose!

is there anything cuter...

Than a cutie with a missing tooth? The tooth next door is only hanging on by a thread. I predict today she will be totally toothless!

lazy days

This layout was super quick to put together....with the exception of the darn title! I had such a hard time getting the font and position just right. Not sure I even did but it will do. I picked these papers up from Archiver's the last time I was there. I really can't remember who they are by but aren't they cool? I love the tickets that coordinate with the paper. Not sure if I can find a use for the rest of them since I only got a few sheets of paper but I will definitely try! I have to get better at using products from different lines together. I used to be good at it...before everyone had these beautifully lines with coordinating product. LOL

I have to get back in the craft room, this page is the last of the bunch I created a few weeks back!

sport camp

One page closer to being done with 2006! This one was a DPS but I'm not in love with the other side so I'm not sharing it! I am, however, keeping it the way it is. I used some Scenic Route that I have had forever on this one and my trusty Basic Grey buttons and brads, SU Kraft paper and American Crafts Thickers.

Anyone else having a hard time scrapping now that we are in the throws of summer?
I know I am...forget the fact that there isn't time, I haven't even felt like it! Which is a huge bummer cause I just got some new goodies in the last week or so.

Hope the weekend is a great one!

gymnastics

Some super old photos of J in her first gymnastics class. Another simple one...still liking how easy it is to scrapbook this way.
I'm in the middle of painting Jack's room so it's a short one today! Catch you all later.

weekend breakfast

This is a fun page documenting a little bit of life on the weekends. Waffles with chocolate chips. Seriously what could be better than that? This is one of those pictures that I am so glad that I have. It shows these guys totally in their element. Just a snapshot of daily life. This is probably the type of photo that they will love when they grow up.

This page uses the ever so versatile Urban Prairie collection from Basic Grey and the black Patchwork Thickers. I have used this for so many things from soccer to totally girlie. Love this paper pack. I;m excited to dig into some of the new goodies I've picked up lately....some Cosmo Cricket Early Bird, some Typo Thickers and you must check out the glitter thickers...oh so fun! And just to add a little more fun to your 4th of July weekend all Cuttlebug folders are $3.50 while supplies last. Now that's a deal and I love me a deal!

I really hope that you all have a wonderful holiday weekend and my thanks and appreciation to those of you that are serving our country. Happy 4th of July!
