Super simple super quick layout of Jack and Dad. Totally love this picture and am so glad I finally scrapped it! It's only about 3 years old at this point. I tried adding more stuff to this one but nothing worked so I left it as is.

Hope your day is a great one!

skater girl

I finally scrapped! It felt good, I tell ya. I used some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday on this one. I picked up the coordinating chipboard for this set and loved it! I had to use it straight away. Pretty simple and straight forward layout. I've been on a simple kick lately. I'm sticking with it for now so I can knock out some pages.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Memorial Day with your families. My kids and I and their Auntie ran/walked the Bolder Boulder today and it was great. They both did such an awesome job. They had absolutely no problem finishing the race and there was not one time that they wanted to quit! In fact Jack jogged the majority of the race. I am so proud of them! Jordan didn't even break a sweat and she did her fair share of jogging as well. All in all a good day! We then had a delicious lunch with G&G and Uncle Tod. I think this race will be a new tradition for us. Who knew my almost 6 year old could do a 10K?! They are so amazing!

baseball

This is one of the reasons I haven't been crafting as much. We are in full swing with baseball for Jack and soccer for Jordan. Both are sadly coming to an end! I love being out in the sun (most of the time. Soccer not so sunny!) and watching these guys get better and better at the sports they like to play. Jack struggled with his hitting at the beginning of the season. I think he lost his confidence but has quickly gained it back recently. He's asking questions and genuinely interested in becoming a better hitter. Recently he asked James why other kids who hit with his bat were hitting it farther the he was. It's interesting to see how he challenges himself to get better. I mean he's only 8 and to be able to recognize that he could do better and then ask the right questions in order to make it happen is pretty cool!

This is what I've got for today. We've got some fun things up our sleeve for the incoming Embellish-Online DT and it will be starting up soon!

purses

This is what I've been working on that has kept me away from my scrapping! I made these cute purses for my Daisey troop. We used them to put all the end of year badges and pens in and we awarded them to the girls last night at our year end BBQ. I made 28 of these babies!

We had the party at one of the girls houses up on the mountain near our house. It was gorgeous! The house was amazing and the property was beautiful. A perfect place to throw a party for 70+! The owner took us on a property hike and the girls found all kinds of bones and skulls of animals. There are lots of deer and mountain lions in the area. Heck there are mountain lions and deer in our area! It was a great time and the weather held up for us mostly. We had a little rain and we needed our jackets but it was a fun night.

seven

My favorite picture from last yeas bday shoot. I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time scrapping my favorite pictures. I don't want to screw it up I guess! So all these fabulous pictures sit and don't make it into my albums. I'm trying to get better at it though!

This one uses some cosmo cricket, ac thickers, basic grey buttons and kraft cardstock (my new obsession) right along with drawing lines around the focal point, which now that I see this one on the screen I may just go back and add it!

one more...

Another challenge done from SCS. This time it was to use a sketch provided by Jennipher.
The sketch can be found here. I used some of my new American Crafts products but this time I paired it with Kraft and I love how it turned out! It totally brought out the colors of the adorable papers.

National scrapbooking day!

I'm playing along with the NSBD challenges aver at Splitcoast. This is challenge 1~ to add a little spring to your layout. We had to use shaped paper, pattern paper strips, ink the edges, add some nature and use some gems. Check, check, check. I got it all and with minimal supplies I might add. There is nothing to this darn layout and it took me 2 hours. Seriously! I'll be back with another challenge as soon as I ge it done!

I am loving my new American Crafts goodies here's another layout I created yesterday. These pictures are from one of our favorite events in the spring/summer. Jordan just loves the sill songs and costumes these guys come up with. She is totally a groupie! This one uses the craft fair collection again. I just love the colors in this collection!
