the truck

This is one of the Page Maps sketches by Becky Fleck. I love those things. I think this one is from January. It was a recent contest sketch tat I wanted to get done in time to enter but it did not happen! I still wanted to do it and I'm thinking better late than never right??

This page uses the Cosmo Cricket line Be Happy, AC thickers & stop sign and Basic Grey buttons.

Well I'm off to the SU! convention first thing tomorrow morning. I'll have my swaps that I've been working onto show you and a few other pages I completed today. I'm on a roll!

Also don't forget to check out the new Friday Challenges over at EIS. The first on is this Friday, August 1st. My challenge is first up and I'd love for you all to participate. If you do participate upload your card to the gallery at EIS and then comment here so I can see what you come up with.

August 1st is also the revel day for the August design team gallery. You won't want to miss it!

dance

I love using these shaped papers from Making Memories. They are so fun and add a little interest to the square page rut! I also used the new SU! Baja Breeze paper and the scallop border punch. Which I love and haven't stopped using since I got it! I used some American Crafts felt flowers, which I love almost as much as I love my Thickers, some buttons and rhinestones and called it done.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

jack & dad

I'm am going to preface this by saying I am not a digital scrapbooker. I really love paper and embellishments and the whole process of creating a layout. Plus I work for Wolf Camera and I know how expensive they are to print! But, I found these really cool digital overlays from Ali Edwards and I though, hey this is something I can do! I mean I had to have that 13" printer, right? Now I have found a reason to use it. So I marched over to Designer Digitals and bought the overlays. They are so easy, all I have to do is open the file in Photoshop and print it on my 12x12 cardstock. Then I scrapbooked right over the top of the overlay. There are 5 different overalys and I can see myslef using them all the time. Plus I really love Ali's handwriting.

Aside from the overlay I used some of the Making Memories spring paper pack I picked up from Target and some of the Making Memories Noteworthy collection, some American Crafts Thinkers found here, & some buttons from my stash.

That's it for today, I off to walk then go to work!

make it a great day!

100% boy!

Geez...I had all these layouts done, photographed and ready to load up to the blog and where have I been. I tell ya, this weekend .....well past week kinda slipped out from underneath me!

Onto the layout! I used the totally amazing stuff from Little Yellow Bicycle. I actually stumbled upon this great paper at Archiver's a while back. I loved it so much I had to go back had get the girly stuff too. This brown/orange combo is so Jack. I love how everything coordinates. I used a sketch from the Sketch This Blog. If you haven't checkd out their sketches you need to. I also love the DT layouts that are posted each week with the sketch. Loads of inspiration!

I'll be back tomorrow with an Easter page. Then I'll be working on Back to School stuff for the EIS August gallery...Back to School. I'll post a sneak peak a couple of days before it goes live. Also, we are starting our challenges back up. It's the Friday Free For All challenge....you never know what the challenge will be. So be sure to stop by on Aug. 1st. The first challenge is mine and I would love for you to participate!!! There may even be some goodies involved for the first challenge!!

make it a great day!

slide down a rainbow

Happy Friday! We've got a fun weekend planed and I can't wait to get it started! I'm in the process of getting my photography business set up and have a photo shoot this afternoon. Saturday a fun BBQ at a friends house and the on Sunday a visit to my Aunts farm. She's got 2 baby chicks. I will definitely have my camera in hand for that!

On to the layout....Basic Grey Urban Couture which is currently on sale at EIS. The flowers are felt flowers from Making Memories and the buttons are from Basic Grey. The title is cut from my Hippie Chick Cuttlebug alpha as was the paper flower.

I got the title from a conversation I overheard between Jordan and her brother. We were riding in the card when I heard him ask her "If you could do anything in the world what would it be?" Her response was "I would slide down a rainbow!" I just couldn't wait to use that title on a scrapbook page and I thought these recent pictures from her 5 year old photo shoot would fit the bill!

Thanks for looking today and be sure to check back often, I got a lot of scrapping done over the last few days and have at least 5 more layout to show you. I really have to get cracking on my convention swaps and then some design team work. I'll still be working on my layouts cause I'm a roll!!

today's the day!

The EIS July design team gallery opens!! It's all about birthdays today. There is loads of inspiration for birthday layouts, cards and even a few gift ideas.

When you're there check out the store and use the code shimmer for 20% off your entire order. Make sure to check out the On Sale tab. Lots of goodness in there too. Barb has the new All Kinds of Happy from Imaginisce and the new Euphoria and goodies from Basic Grey.

This is a page from J's 3rd birthday. We always let them open their birthday gift right wen they wake up in the morning. (hence the jammies)
SHe was really delighted with something...and for the life of me I can not remember what we gave her that year. This was the small gift because she got a bouncy house for her big gift and I really wish I had written it down!

This page uses Making Memories shaped paper (love that stuff)! Making Memories felt flowers, letters, glitter brads and journaling block. Big flower is a Sprite from Prima.

Thanks for stopping by today and make sure you check out the rest of my projects in the gallery today!

celebrate cupcake!

So this is the new All Kinds of Happy line from Imaginisce. It is so cute. This is also a sneak peak of some of the design work I've been doing for the Embellish-Online July gallery...Birthdays! It was my month to pick the theme and since it's my birthday month, I thought birthdays would be a great theme. This is just one of the projects I did for the gallery. Make sure to pop in on July 5th and check out the rest of my things and all of the wonderful projects the other gals have come up with. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll show one of the birthday layouts I did for the gallery.

This month we also say goodbye to the first EIS design team and welcome a new team in August. I have really enjoyed working with all of the current gals. You all made the design team a wonderful experience!!

have a fun and safe 4th!

This is the Jordan index page for the Us book. I used the new Fancy Pants Simplicity line. I usually don't want paper after I've used it once but I think I may have to go back for more! Very fun to use.

The pink lettering on the journaling block is a felt rub-on. I forgot I had them and they matched perfectly.

The rest are Crate words. You can find those here. They are on sale too! Also the 20% off code for July is shimmer.

I really, really wish I hadn't put those rhinestones on here. I though it would look good, I just do not like it. I tried to pull it up and ripped the paper so I had to go back and add some glue and fill it in with micro beads. This took me so long and I didn't have any more paper so here it is! I'll just have to live with it I guess.

I finally got my new camera and I love it!! I can't wait to get and shoot some really photos, not just test photos.

make it a great day!
