I made it back from Disneyland in one piece! I cannot believe how busy that place was. We really did luck out and got to ride so many rides. The kids had a great time. Jack went on the Indiana Jones ride and is still talking about how much he did NOT like it. I think he was traumatized LOL! Jordan loved the princess breakfast...I did not love the price. Have any of you gone to the Princess Breakfast? Family style eggs, bacon and potatoes, bread and fruit. Did I mention that Jordan does not eat bacon and eggs??? Yes she had a bagel and a strawberry!!! It was $60 for the two of us to have breakfast! that being said the princess are so sweet to the girls. They asked them their names and gave them hugs. It was really sweet...but we will not be doing it again!

Anyway, I hope you all had a marvelous Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!

I'll share the other version of my swap card later today.

embrace life

This was like the 100th version of my swap for the preview catalog. I don't know why I had such a hard time with it. This was my second favorite...the one I used, I packed up and sent off without taking a picture of it. Nice. I will share that one when I get them back! I am on my second roll of the SU white taffeta ribbon. I LOVE it! It's so pretty and so easy to work with. If you don't have some you should run to your demonstrator and get some!!

Have you all seen the new Stampin' UP! catalog??? I am in love with it! It's just beautiful and I can't wait to get my hands on all those new accessories. I am sad to report that there aren't very many (like only 2) stamp sets that I HAVE to have. I like a lot of them...they just don't have to come home with me....yet. This is really the first catalog in 4 1/2 years that haven't had a list a mile long. It could be that I am feeling really overwhelmed whit he amount of suplies I currently have. It could be that I just don't like them...who knows. I do know that SU blows me away with the accesoories they keep coming out with. I need all ofthe rub-ons and those felt flowers... I think they were reading my mind LOL! Now I just have to wait for Jan. 2...I'll be tapping my toes for sure.

hugs

Season Of Joy is one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets. I had so many Chirstmas cards left over from last year that I didn't even need to make any this year. Believe me it was hard not to make a whole bunch of new ones....but I had to get rid of the leftovers! SO here is one of few Christmas cards I acutally made this year. Totally love the non traditional blues and greens of the Wintergreen DSP.
I probably won't have much to share until after Christmas...we are chock full of plans and I somehow have to get me and the kids ready to leave for Disneyland on Christmas day. I'll have lots of photos and hopefully soon some scrapbook pages from our little trip.
Have a great day and a super holiday!

Finally something for moi...

I have been hard at work making things for just about everyone I know and have not amde anything for myself in ages! I know, I know it's the season for others but I think I've paid my dues LOL. SO I made my self one of the Target $ spot planners I picked up. I have been hoarding this one piece of Chatterbox paper for ages and decided it had to go on this project. I just love it! The beautiful flower and chocolate brad are both availabe at EO. The flower is by Imaginesce and it's so pretty!
Letter stickers are American Crafts, ribbon and jumbo brads SU!
Hope today is a great one!

I was placing my order for the new SU! preview sets today and came acrosd the directions to make these cute ornaments. SO easy! I used a 3.5x3.5in square, cut a hole in the middle, placed another 3.5x3.5 in piece behind it with dimensionals and embellished the middle. The rectangle were punched out with the Marvy recantangle scallop punches found and Embellish-Online and use the Basic Grey Santa Baby clear stamp set. I cannot believe how easy these stamps are to stamp with! I am totally not a clear stamp user but these could grow on me. The stamps are also available at EO.

Every year for the past 5 years I've made a 6x6 calendar for 9 family members. This is just one page out of this years calendar. I am so not close to being done and I really want to be LOL! This is Octobers page...I know totally not an October page but I wanted to get both of the kids first day of school pictures in the calendar somewhere. The sketch I used for the page was designed by Michelle (flaxychick) for Embellish-Online. This was the first weekly sketch challenge. You can see my card a few posts down. I totally loved having a sketch for a card and similar one for a scrapbook page.

After seeing what Cambria did with some DVD tins I had to try it! This tin is not actually a DVD tin. It's an acordian book tin from Bare Elements found at Embellish-Online here. I just cut up the acordian paper added a monogram and an SU! scalloped circle and made a little stack of note paper. This is a gift for one of my daughters pre-school teachers. I'm going to give it to her early so she can use it for lists and receipts and stuff befoe Christmas! The planner is from the Target dollar spot! I tore off the ugly plastic cover and made one of my own. Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies~SU! Dashing dsp, old olive, very vanilla, real red. Seson of Joy stamp set. Wide olive grograin, white taffeta, red grosgrain, tab punch, american crafts velvet letters.

We are going to have a weekly challenge over at EO. The first one is a sketch challenge created byMichelle.
I'm a layers gal so of course I loved this sketch! I would love to see what you can can come up with. Create a card using Michelle's sketch and upload it to the EO gallery. Then check back next week to see what our next challenge will be.

Supplies: all supplies Stampin' Up! Kraft, vanilla, rust, guava, watercolor paper, fall flowers designer paper. Time Well Spent hostess level3 set, kraft taffeta, pearls, oval punch, papertrey ribbon set.

This page was for Lisa's Diva challenge over at Splitcoast. Her challenge was to use no pattern paper...gasp! I don't think I creat many layouts that use just cardstock, but I have to tell you I love this page! I just got the 12x12 kraft cardstock...I don't know why I was resisting this for so long. I absoultely loved working with it. I used white Staz-on and the Polka Dots and Petals stamp set from SU!. I had originally intended to just do a border down the left side but just kept going and love the results. OK how many time's can I say I love this page???? I really don't have that many pages that I want to keep looking at over and over but this is one of them LOL. The ribbon is from a Ribbon Originals card and a little piece of twill and the star is a ghost shape from Heidi Swapp that I sponged with the white Staz-on. Typeset Alpha was used for the title.

I was so sad when the adorable Living Large set from SU! retired. I love these gals! This is just one of the cards I've made for my b-day card stash...I'm having a hard time giving her away though. :>
I hope everone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This is one of my favorite cards I've made with Doodle This. I stamped one flower then cut out the other 2 and layered them on top. I watercolered all the flowers and sponged pretty much everything! Once I start sponging there's no turining back. LOL I used the retired Au Chocolate DSP and a little strip of the tiny stitched grograin from a Ribbon Originals card. All supplies are from Stampin! Up. Thanks for coming by today. Have a great one.

I did this layout a few months ago and the picture is 2 1/2 years old. I just came accross it and decided it was way too cute to keep hidden in a book! Love this textured cardstock from Stampin' Up! Stamps and Rhinstoen Brad from Stampin' Up! Making Memories ribbon and American Crafts felt alphabet stickers.

I made this page for VSBN on SCS earlier this month. Becky Fleck designed this sketch for one of the challenges. I just love her sketches! These are some of my favorite pictures of Jordan and I was so stressed about creating the "right" page for them. I love how this turned out, the colors of the Basic Grey Blush paper were so perfect for the pictures. The paper, rub-ons and making memories sweets are all available at Embellish-Online.
Woo Hoo I'm back in! I totally let this blog go about 8 days after I started it and am now inspired to get it back up and running!!! Now that we have the design team for Embellish-Online set up and ready to go I thought I jump back in!

Splitcoast sketch challenge

What a fun sketch designed by Becky Fleck for the splitcoast sketch challenges. I really need to do these more often. The challenges always get me in the mood to scrap and I usually end up getting more than a few pages done. I have a bunch of cleaning to get to this morning and then hopefully I can get to a little more scrapping!

Have a great day.

Card Tote~BasicGrey-Romani Paper

I made a card tote last year after convention. I had so many nice comments on it that I decided to make some for my friends! These take some time to put together but the end result is really nice. I did some cutting with the flower bursts, and used the rubicoil to punch the holes in the bottom and sides so I could "sew" it together. I saved all the punched holes and put them inside the clear vinyl tubing for the handles.

Fun ribbon

I finally got something to work with this pretty ribbon from embellish it scrapbooking.

I am so trying to like this Wasabi paper! It goes great with the phoebe 6x6 paper pack that I got from embellish it scrapbooking. And as soon as I get to it I found some great ribbon that matches it exactly! Maya road ribbon in stripes and polka dots. So cute!!

Out Loud

This is one of my favorite pictures of Jordan! Such joy. I used Stampin' Up! Papers and Cardstock. American Crafts felt flowers and foam letters, a bazzil scalloped chipboard circle and a pink Prima fower with a chocolate button in the middle.

Ready for summer

I made this page a while ago but I just love it! One of my favorite things about summer is watching the kids play in the water in the back yard. I'm so ready for summer after all that snow we had this winter. The cardstock and paper is Basic Grey Oh! Baby Boy and most of the rub on's ae from Basic Grey as well. All from my favorite online store Embellish It Scrapbooking

Hugs and Wishes

I finally decided to take the plunge and start a blog! What better time than with 2 boxes of new SU! stuff. I am really loving this level 2 hostess set..In the Spotlight. I used two new In Colors...Groovey Guava and Soft Sky and the Hugs and Wishes set. So ready for some new greeting sets! I pierced around all the flowers, cut them out and used my Quickie glue pen to add some Dazzling Diamond glitter around the edges. So sparkly in real life. I was so ready for some fresh new colors and these In Colors will definitely work!
